Rivada to launch constellation of600 LEO satellites
Rivada Space Networks, established by Rivada Networks, plans to launch a constellation of 600 low-earth-orbit communications satellites. Deployment should start in 2024 and complete by mid- 2028. The Rivada network will operate like an optical backbone in space using lasers to interconnect satellites, bringing internet access to remote and underserved areas worldwide, where no backhaul is available.
